With the numerous catastrophic events the world has recently experienced, the founders of UrgenceConsult inc. understood the need of publicising their unique tool, which permits the management of emergency or crisis situations. When it comes to developing specific modules to answer various complexities of organisations, Neptune4 is a unique international reference.

After many years of research, development and consultation, the Neptune4 system acquired solid expertise in emergency measures and complete traceability. Conceived in Quebec (Canada), in the Estrie area, Neptune4 appears to be the software of the future.

In 1996, with the difficulties experienced in Sherbrooke city with the biogas emissions from the sanitary landfill, the founders of Neptune4 realised that there were several shortfalls at the crisis management level. Nearly 140 persons had to be evacuated as there was no possibility to manage the biogas exhalations, and even less to determine the extent of incurred risks.

In the same year, the flood of Saguenay River caused the death of several persons and brought about incredible damage on the basin of the Kenogami Lake and over Rivière-à-Mars, particularly in Chicoutimi, Jonquière and La Baie cities. Moreover, the gaps in risk management during the ice storm in 1998, in Quebec province, allowed further nurtured the idea of this software.
